Course content
- Provides a comprehensive overview of the ISO 27001:2022 standard, including its key principles and requirements.
- Outlines the documentation needed to create and maintain an ISMS.
- Explains the ISO 27001 risk assessment process.
- Includes guidance on how to plan and scope an ISMS implementation project.
Prerequisites
There are no prerequisites for this course. However, we recommend reading ISO 27001:2022 – An introduction to information security and the ISMS standard before taking the course, as it will help you understand the fundamental concepts covered in this programme.
Exam information
Attendees take the ISO 17024-certificated CIS F (Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Foundation) exam set by IBITGQ (International Board for IT Governance Qualifications). There is no extra charge for this exam.
The assessment is delivered online and lasts 60 minutes.
Can exams be retaken?
Yes, if you are unsuccessful on the first attempt, you can retake the exam for an additional fee.

Qualifications
Those that pass the exam will earn the ISO 17024-certificated Certified ISO 27001:2022 ISMS Foundation (CIS F) qualification – recognised by employers worldwide.
This course awards 7 CPD (Continuing Professional Development) points, which are accredited by the CPD Certification Service.

Despite professional career spanning over 2 decades in InfoSec, I genuinely found this course really useful and along the way learn 1 or 2 new items in more detail. Highly recommend this course, it's a must attend/complete training course for all GRC enthusiasts, it covered all core fundamentals of ISO27001 and also the training session was delivered very well by instructor (Ian Shorten).
